Terms of Use
Welcome to Embertide (“the game”). By playing the game you agree to these terms. If this English version and the Chinese version differ, the Chinese version prevails.
1. The service
The game is a single-player action game. The browser version is free; the iOS app is a separate, one-time paid App Store purchase at the price displayed in your region. The iOS version has no advertising, in-app purchases or subscriptions. We may change, update or suspend parts of it at any time and will try to give notice in advance.
2. Saves and data
Saves stay on your device. The browser version uses browser storage; the iOS app also keeps a durable copy in its private files, which may be included in system device backups. Clearing browser data can lose browser saves. Deleting the app removes its local files; offloading preserves them. We cannot recover saves or backup passwords for you. Use “Export encrypted backup” in the game to keep your own backups, and remember the backup password.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use the game for unlawful purposes, attack or interfere with its servers or network, or prevent other players from playing normally. Once online features launch, results obtained with cheats or tampered data will be removed.
4. Intellectual property
Except for third-party components under their own licenses, copyright and other rights in the game’s code, artwork, sound design and text belong to Lumiora Labs Inc. See third-party software notices. You may not copy, modify, redistribute or use them commercially without permission.
5. Disclaimer
The game is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for interruptions, lost saves or other losses caused by networks, devices, browsers or events beyond our control.
6. Age rating and healthy play
Follow the App Store age rating for your region. Children should play with a parent or guardian’s consent and guidance. Please take regular breaks.
